Psalm 126
Joy

Psalm 126

A song of ascents.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of[a] Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.[b]
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.

Restore our fortunes,[c] Lord,
    like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
    carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
    carrying sheaves with them.

A Pilgrimage with the Psalms of Ascent - Joy

Have you ever found yourself feeling like the day is spinning out of control? This summer has been riddled with challenges for our family. Everything from scheduling people, vehicles, and events to managing resources, finances, and responsibilities. More than once I thought, "Lord, please rescue me from this challenge."

I think I'm getting better at leaving the control in God's hands, but I still try to take it back now and then. My preparation for the message this Sunday was not the least bit typical for me. It was, however, an incredible lesson as to why I need to choose my captor wisely.

Please join us Sunday morning as we continue our journey through the Psalms of Ascent... and I share how God prepared me for the day.
