Revelation 20:11-15
Judge Jesus

We all make judgements. How much weight our judgement holds depends on our authority and who is listening. The Bible claims that God has ultimate authority over all creation and that we will be held accountable (judged) for our actions. To make matters worse, it is clear that only those who have a perfect track record will survive judgement and, as anyone with an objective perspective knows, despite anything good we do, we still fall short of holiness. As such, if judgement exists, none of us will survive as the case will be closed before proceedings even begin. So what do we do? Throughout history, people have tried to deal with this in different ways. Some reason that a loving God wouldn't judge harshly those he loves, and others claim that we can earn our holiness through penance and good works. For the last 200 years, the idea that God doesn't exist and death is an abrupt end eliminating judgement altogether has become somewhat popular. So who or what has authority in your life about the judgement of God?

The final statement in the Apostle’s Creed about the second person of the Trinity tells us, to be a Christian is to believe that judgement is coming and that the judge’s name is Jesus.
