Why Did God Do That?

"Why Did God Do That?"

Acts 5:1-11

Oftentimes we wonder where God is and why he won’t do something about a situation. And yet, when God does act (or is at work) we wonder why he did what he did, or is doing what he is doing. Why did he allow Job’s kids to be crushed by a falling roof, let alone losing his animals, slaves, and health? Why did he command his people to leave no prisoners when taking the Promised Land? Why is the outcome of so many of the Levitical laws stoning?
And so, whether God acts or seems to do nothing, we are left with questions about his purpose, his presence, and more. As we explore the generosity and catastrophic downfall of Ananias and Sapphira, we will attempt to answer one such question, why did God do that?
