Blessed

As Jesus pulls the curtain away and unveils the work of God to John, he is given an awe-inspiring vision of the new heaven and earth where the streets are paved with gold, and everything is made of precious jewels. It surely would have given John a sense of celebration, excitement, and hope to see and experience what redeemed creation looked like, and I suspect he would have called himself blessed. How are we blessed? How are we a blessing? Alongside bread, love, and forgiveness, is our fourth word of life, blessed, which is who God wants us to be.
