God Hears, Rescues, and Calls His People to a New Way of Living

There are a few celebrities I would like to have coffee and chat about life with. Not that I agree or disagree with them, but I would like to better understand life from their point of view. They seem reasonably genuine and so I would like to better understand their world and the decisions they have to make which are completely different from my own. What upsets them, encourages them, frustrates them? What disrupts them and makes it seem as though things are out of control? To whom or what do they cry out in those circumstances; and why?

In the book of Exodus, we see the lives of people being disrupted by the work of God and yet, who actually carries the blame or receives the credit for this disruption, depends on one’s perspective. What is clear throughout the Bible is that God hears the cry of his people, and he comes down to disrupt their current way of life and rescue them.

As we gather to worship our Creator, our Saviour, our Counsellor, let us also see that God desires to disrupt our way of life in order that we might become all he has created us to be.

Blessings,
Pastor Tyler
