As we begin our final series in gospel basics we are turning our attention to gospel life…the impact and effect Jesus should have on our day to day lives. To get things rolling we are going to tackle the issue of listening - a skill that takes years to develop. So many of us think, “I have functioning ears, I can hear just fine,” but there is a big difference between hearing something, and truly listening. As we gather this Sunday we will be examining listening in the context of prayer in general, and the prayer Jesus taught his followers in specific. I look forward to being with you as we worship the one who gave us ears, and prayed that we might listen to His voice.
