Message: Our Gospel Identities: We Are Servants
Speaker: Pastor Tyler Graftaas

Recently our deacon team started working through Sticky Teams: Keeping your leadership team and staff on the same page by Larry Osborne. We are doing this not necessarily because we are on different pages, but in order that we might stay on the same page and grow together. In our first session, Osborne identified three obstacles to unity: power, prestige, and preference. As we continue our gospel identity series we are examining our role as servants, as ones who have no power, no prestige, and whose preference is irrelevant. As disciples of Jesus and heirs of the Father, we are called to a life of servanthood, not of privilege. This is a difficult but much-needed reminder for us all, not necessarily because we think we are privileged, but in order that we might continually grow in who we are in Christ “…who came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45)

Blessings,
Pastor Tyler
