John 9:1-12

John 9:1-12Blinded By Sight As we near the end of our series on the seven signs John gives that Jesus is the Christ, the holy one of God, we encounter a man born blind - at least he is a man who hasn’t seen anything with his eyes since his birth. Wondering what has caused this man’s blindness Jesus’ disciples ask, “…who sinned, this man or his parents…?” Healing the man with some dirt and spit, the Pharisees’ ire is stoked once again and they aggressively come after the man who can now see. How is the glory of God being made known when a man’s healing brings fury and ridicule from the Pharisees’? Why is it that Jesus heals this man born blind, but the Pharisees still cannot see Jesus as the Messiah? Sometimes we are a lot like the blind man, really seeing things for the first time. Often, we can be more like the Pharisees, where our ability to see actually keeps us blind to the realities of God. "Holy Spirit give us eyes to see, that we might display the glory of God in our lives.” See you Sunday as we explore the sixth sign John gives us that Jesus is the son of God! Pastor Tyler
