Joshua 1:10-18

Joshua 1:10-18 - “Fertile Soil” In the opening sentences of Joshua, God tells Joshua that the long-awaited Promise Land is about to be handed over to them. The Israelites had been waiting for centuries for this promise made to Abraham to come to fruition and now the time had come. But why now? Why not before they were enslaved in Egypt? Why not after another generation had passed? After waiting so long, why was it that this generation would enter this fertile land flowing with milk and honey? This Sunday we are going to explore the second half of Joshua 1 and see that as they were on the eve of possession of a fertile land, they as a people had become fertile soil.
