What do you do when you face uncertainty? How do you determine what school your child should go to? Whether to stay in a relationship or not? What about what job to pursue? Whether to downsize or buy bigger? Sometimes our decisions turn out amazing, other times they are disastrous. Do the results reflect God’s will?
On the edge of the Promised Land God’s instruction to the Israelites was about the ongoing decisions they would make regarding who they were, not where they were. Promising they would have all they needed, God was concerned about the kind of people they were becoming, which continues to be his greatest concern for us as well.
MERGER UPDATES
The Task Force, Leadership, and Staff met today to discuss vision/mission/values, to narrow down the church name selections, and to determine the next steps.
Potential names have been shortlisted and can be accessed through the button below - please take some time to think and pray through the names and as we further refine the list.
The Task Force will be meeting again January 28 to begin the Nuans search and determine what names are legally available. Once that process is done, the final short list will be brought to the congregation for a vote. We are targeting to finalize a name by the end of February.
We are excited to announce that GoodTree Christian Fellowship and Crescent Heights Baptist Church are joining forces to become one new congregation! At the end of November 2023, each church voted overwhelmingly to merge, believing that we can engage in the mission of God better together than apart.
There are still many practical and logistical questions to be answered, but guided by the Holy Spirit, we are figuring it out together. Our first official service as one church will be on January 14, 2024, at a time yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more information as it rolls out shortly!
A dynamic new Church Task Force has been assembled to orchestrate the seamless merger of GCF and CHBC. This collaborative effort seeks to combine the strengths and traditions of both congregations, creating a vibrant and inclusive spiritual community. The Task Force, comprised of 3 dedicated leaders from each church, will work tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition, blending diverse worship styles, traditions, and values. In the wake of the merger vote outcome on November 26, 2023, our hearts are filled with gratitude and anticipation. Both Goodtree Christian Fellowship and Crescent Heights Baptist Church congregations have spoken, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we unite into one fellowship.As we traverse this season of change, your thoughts, prayers, and continued active participation are invaluable. We trust in God's guidance as we navigate this merger, remaining open to the direction that He may lead us, understanding that His plans often unfold in unexpected and remarkable ways.We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support, faithfulness, and dedication to our church community. Together, as one united congregation, we eagerly anticipate the future with hope and expectation.

There is designated parking on the east side of 11 Avenue in the Crescent Heights High School parking lot.
Note that the loading zone is only for drop offs and pick ups.
Greeters will be available at the entrance of the church if help is needed!

Have you registered your child(ren) for the new year of Sunday School?
On Sundays, please don’t forget to sign in your kids at the welcome table and pick them up after service.
Pick up for ages 1-3 is in the nursery, and age 4 to Grade 6 is downstairs Fellowship Hall.
Please feel free to bring a light snack to share on Sundays - we will have a small spread and fellowship after every service!
