John 20:19-31

Scripture: John 20:19-31
Message: In Light of the Resurrection: Turning Gloom Into Glory
Speaker: Pastor Cornel van Eyk

The disciples had a difficult time dealing with Jesus, their leader, being crucified. He was so good. He helped so many people. Why did this have to happen? We need Him so much. So, they spent hours wondering and crying. Some of them had been to the empty tomb and heard the angels say “He is not here. He is risen.” But this was too good to be true. So here was their problem. They had seen the empty tomb, they had heard the good news, but they had not seen Jesus Himself.

My friends, you may see the evidence of Christianity all over, you may hear people talk about-Christ. But you need more than that.  You need to see Jesus for yourself.  The disciples were in for a great experience.

Their gloom is going to be turned into glory, the sunrise is going to erase their sorrow.  They are going to see Jesus! Oh, what a great moment is awaiting them!

As we look on this scene may we also have the experience that turns our Gloom into Glory. I look forward to sharing the story with you.
