John 15:1-8“The Singularity” The concept of infinity has always intrigued me. It is at the edge of infinity where a singularity occurs and the rules as we know them governing space and time change, where the laws of physics and math operate differently. It is at the edge of infinity where ideas such as time travel and more have been thought possible because of the confines of space and time change. After sharing in their final Passover meal, Jesus and his disciples leave the residence and go for a walk. As they travel Jesus teaches them the things he wants them to know deep within their souls for he knows that the cross is close. That which is most central to it all is found in John 15:4 “Remain in Me, and I in you.” As we continue our journey through the gospel of John we will examine this instruction Jesus gives to all his disciples for the singularity that it is.
